iHeartRadio is the most popular free broadcast and Internet radio platform in the world. We spent 4.5 years on multiple releases of the iHeartRadio project, working closely with iHeartRadio team to launch features for the flagship product and also leading the automobile initiative and helping build out the team for it. With the automobile platform, we worked to make sure iHeartRadio ran on various head units (OEM and after market) that required different ways to communicate, crafted a custom handshaking and data transfer protocol, and made it work with CarPlay, all within an extensible architecture. In the process, we have worked with a great team of fun loving people in various disciplines and many of them have become close friends since. iHeartRadio was and will remain one of the most memorable projects we have participated in.
